I’m in love…

With these two boys(men).

Today was a very big day. We knew this day would come, and maybe it should have come sooner, but today we put up Aiden’s big boy bed. Tonight is the first night he will be sleeping in it. This is new for me. I am nervous. I think my fear is that he will wake up in the middle of the night and read a book. I say this because we can hear him wake up and say this at 2am. My other fear is him getting out of his room and playing in the living room while it’s dark. I know, I worry too much. So, hopefully tonight will be good!

Another huge thing that happened today was that I got my new 5D Mark II, finally!! It was a long time coming. So far I love it. I will be putting it to the test soon. But for now, I will leave you with this picture I took of Aiden with Mark.

I will be taking this new “baby” out to play soon. So, stay tuned for some photos :)

Hugs!

Oh Melissa. Aiden is getting so big and so handsome! Not to worry about the “big boy” bed. He will be safe, and you won’t be far away. And, congrats on your new toy. Yes, that 50 1.2 is the sweetest. So incredibly sharp.

Oh honey, I know what you mean about Aiden, it’s so hard to see them grow up so fast and each stage brings new changes that seem to be huge to a Mom! How cute is he on Daddy’s shoulder :) Oh and congrats on the new camera, I can’t wait to see it in person in just over 4 weeks!!!

What a cutie! He will do fine in his new big boy bed! I am new to your blog. Visited a few times before but I keep coming back so I figured I’d introduce myself. I am Heather McCullah. Love checking out your work.

Can’t wait for some reviews on your new gear!

What a darling photo of little Aiden! I remember those days with Donovan and everything you fear, was my fear and happened with Donovan. We actually had to use little eye hooks to lock him in his room at night after two times he went out of the house in the middle of the night to go play at the park next door. Talk about a heart attack! Now just to clear it up, I didn’t lock him in there all the time just at night when Ehren and I would go to bed and since those two incidents I became a very light sleeper and still am today. I hope none of those things happen in your house and I hope they don’t start happening again in mine when Cali is that age! Best of luck! :)

Jasmine Marie - January 10, 2009 - 8:38 pm

Aiden is so adorable. I just want to scoop him and give him a big hug. :)

How did he handle the big boy bed?

Kim - January 11, 2009 - 3:19 pm

This picture is absolutely precious!!! I can’t believe he’s in a big boy bed now!!! How’s he been doing so far???

Leah Simmers - January 13, 2009 - 11:53 am

WIth all the boys we used these white door knob covers ( you can get at babies r us and probably target) When they are on they can’t open the door. It is bigger than the door knob so it just turns and the door doesnt open for them ( put it on the inside of the room. I’m surprised you got away with not having the big boy bed this long, I feel like I have to put Ollie in one in 6 months or less.

Tira - January 13, 2009 - 2:33 pm

Big boy bed?? Oh my gosh, he is getting so “big!” I’m in denial. I think I’ll keep Nix in his crib til he’s 18! xoxo. Love the pic! Your camera must need a “big bag” bed for itself too!
