Stacie and Tony-expecting (a tiny bit of nudity)

Over 8 years ago I couldn’t have known that my life would be filled with such amazing people.  I am very close to Stacie and Tony. I love them so much and consider them my sister and brother. If you ever meet Stacie and Tony, you would fall in love with them. Their relationship is simply put, full of love. When they announced to us that they were going through the process of trying to have a baby, the family couldn’t have been more thrilled. I could really go on and on about their amazing love story, but I won’t for now. This week I had the privilege of photographing their maternity session. I was nervous, but so excited.  Mom and Dad to be are expecting twin girls in about 6 weeks!!! Here are some of my favorites from their session.

I told them to close their eyes and think of what it will be like to see their little girls for the first time. I love the emotion here!

*As always I got permission to post these*

Thank you so much Stace and Tone for trusting me enough to do these pictures for you. I hope you like them! Love you guys!!

A note to photographers, these were all shot with my new 5D MKII and my 50 1.2 lens. I wanted to challenge myself on this shoot to use this one lens and see the results I got. I really love this lens! I also have to give props to Totally Rad Actions for making my images look even better :) These are seriously the BEST actions. I love them!

Thanks everyone! Have a great weekend!

Ahhh Melissa, these are divine! I LOVE the second shots down with the scarf and hat, amazing! And those last two are so so beautiful. You did good with the new camera and one lens, I LOVE that lens the most ;)

These are gorgeous Melissa. And I agree with Cathy, your new goodies have done ya good. :) Working with a fixed lens, you get a lot more exercise in my opinion. They are a beautiful couple, and I am sure they are going to be amazing parents to those little girls. Can’t wait to see them here on your blog.

Nomayne McIntosh - January 21, 2009 - 1:34 pm

Yes, I love working with fixed lenses especially the 50mm. It is challenging at first but it is love at first use. I don’t have the money for a 1.2 but I settled for a 1.4. I love the outdoors nude-belly shots. Too cold to do here in Vancouver but oh-so-naturally-amazing when done in the right season!

Erika McCauley - January 22, 2009 - 10:26 am

Beautifully done! Can’t wait to see the newborn photos! :)

Leah Simmers - January 23, 2009 - 1:19 am

Kristi Klemens - January 24, 2009 - 7:35 pm
